ABOUT ABOUT

Hippocampus Magazine is an online publication set out to entertain, educate and engage writers and readers of creative nonfiction. HippoCamp is an in-the-flesh extension of that three-fold mission.

This three-day event will feature notable speakers, engaging sessions in three tracks, interactive panels, readings, social activities, networking opps, readings, and optional, intimate pre- and post-conference workshops. We can’t wait to tell you more — and welcome you to Lancaster, Pa., a city rich in history, arts and culture.

HippoCamp is formatted in the style of a professional, industry conference. Expect to learn a lot and return home with a notebook and brain full of ideas!

Please refer to our cancellation policy and code of conduct before registering.

Restrictions

REFUND POLICY

We understand that things can happen. If you have registered for HippoCamp and can no longer attend, here are some options:

HippoCamp can transfer your conference registration to another individual with no penalty until July 1. [Workshop and pitch sessions cannot be transferred; registrations cannot be transferred after July 1.]

Please send your refund or transfer request in writing to [email protected]. Once confirmed by HippoCamp staff, we will issue your refund, if applicable (based on dates below), to the credit card on file.

Between Dec. 1 and Jan. 31 – full refund
Between Feb. 1 and March 31 – 75% refund
Between April 1 – June 30- 60% refund
After July 1 (including no-shows) – no refund

Please note that should you cancel or transfer your registration, HippoCamp is not responsible for any cancellation fees charged by airlines, hotels or other travel arrangements.

Note: If you paid via PayPal and it’s been more than 30 days since you purchased your ticket, we cannot issue a refund via PayPal due to limitations with its system — in the most basic way of explaining this, PayPal simply removes the refund button from our dashboard; we will have to issue you a PayPal “payment” instead, and this may incur a small service charge. The other option is a check.
